I am extremely fond of the wild strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) - not only for its fruity aroma, but also for its fleeting beauty. The window for picking wild strawberries is so brief that I am often out-beaten by squirrels, birds, rabbits and the like. I have a small patch growing in my  garden, but the demand far exceeds the limited supply usually. 

The good news is we have a great year this year that helps increase the inventory. 

Grab a pack or two if you have a chance. Otherwise, you may have to wait until 2027.
