These are the seeds from this year's exceptional wild blueberry crop, saved to share with fellow gardening enthusiasts. They produce a hardy, native Canadian shrub that forms a beautiful, low-growing ground cover and yields intensely sweet, wild berries.

A friendly note: These seeds are a joy for expert gardeners, but they require patience and specific conditions to succeed, including cold stratification and acidic soil. They are not recommended for beginners.

A Note on the Bounty of 2025:

What an incredible year of abundance 2025 is shaping up to be! From coast to coast, the harvests are thriving. In the Pacific Northwest, the sockeye salmon run is expected to be 50% larger than last year. In the Northeast, native trees like black walnuts and white oaks are heavy with nuts. And to my delight, it’s also a spectacular year for wild blueberries.

As Ontarian, we know these little berries well. We spot them throughout Muskoka's landscapes, and our friends up in Thunder Bay are never far from a patch. I remember we could never keep them in the house—they were always so precious and expensive! In my family, we adore their uniquely sweet and refreshing taste, without a trace of tartness. We savored every single berry; if one ever dropped on the floor, it was quickly scooped up and enjoyed.

This year’s abundant harvest has been a true gift, allowing us to carefully save these seeds. It’s my sincere hope that we can share this bounty with you, passing the abundance from the wide, rich plains of Quebec right to your own garden.
